The front line of Gendang Beleq orchestra. It is a dance and music performance from Lombok island, Indonesia. Gendang Beleq means big drum, and that explains why there is something huge in that picture. Often, a group have two players of that big drums as front line, sometimes four, followed by cymbal players and flute, sometimes with small handheld kettle-gongs similar to bonangs. They dance during march, and also often, followed by Kecimol orchestra.
It is a popular performance among the native of Lombok island, the Sasak people. Often found escorting important guest or bridal procession.
